Stripped, Molested, Raped
A girl asked her mom, “Are women treated right?”
Mother replied, “Yes dear! There are tons of ‘Women Rights’”
Soon she moved to the city for her further studies,
And everything seemed all right.
Mom told her, “We are always there for you, just a call
away.”
Dad told her, “I know you will make us proud.”
She was doing so well, everyone was glad,
Soon she moved with her friends in a beautiful flat.
One day she was a little late to return home,
Pitch dark, all silent, she heard some people moan,
She knew something bad was going to happen so she tried to
flee,
Well before that someone jumped on her and said, “I got
thee.”
Oh, what they did to that poor girl I cannot express,
Their stories to their friends they confessed,
They even made up a video and posted it online,
The girl was gone for a few weeks without a sign,
Parents and friends worried sick, tried every means,
The police, the public, everyone they tried to reach,
A few weeks later her body was found,
She lay there without making a sound,
Soon she was all over the news, “Another Rape Case!”
Father wanted their family to lay low and hide their faces,
But the mother, she wanted justice and came to the city,
Begged for justice in front of the police like they were
some kind of deity,
A complaint was registered, an investigation was launched,
Social media was on fire and rallies were in order,
But after all this, now, a year later, the case file sits in
a room all dusty, yet to be solved,
Hundreds of cases have come since then and few have been
solved,
Are the criminals too smart or our justice system too dumb?
Was the people’s reaction to the matter too less or the
government’s silence too much?
Either way, justice hasn’t been served, and families of the
deceased and the people who have faced this huge trauma have lost faith in
humanity, and so have I… so have I.
Nicely written 👍
