Choosing Sides: Heart or Mind

Life treats you the way you treat it,
Not always the expectations you make fits,
Somewhere I read, “Don’t make your ego your amigo!”
 No one can predict what going to happen though,
Sometimes foes become friends and friends become foes,
This bitter truth we need to swallow,
Life demands change on every point,
Change is lifestyle, change in friends and especially the change of mind,
 Because change in thoughts can change ones world,
Because thoughts appear even when they are uncalled for,
Let me share a story of a boy with you,
Familiar with this situation won’t be many but few,
He was a cool kid with many friends around him,
Friendly with everyone and quite lovely he seemed,
Life was going well until his life demanded change,
The change which his mind knew he needed but his heart solely refused,
The way he was living was all wrong,
His life would be in a chaos if he didn’t make a decision and prolonged,
He is a guy, who doesn’t like change,
He is a guy, who doesn’t like to lose friends; he is a guy, who is in love,
Should he listen to his heart or his mind?
Answer to this question where can he find?
If he listens to his mind he will lose his love and friends,
If he listens to his heart his life might meet and an unexpected bends,
He must choose a path which has less loss and more gain,
Or else all his efforts will be in vain,
Should he believe on the fact that life is a series of natural changes and resisting them gives pain!
Or believe that progress can happen without change.
No one can feel the dilemma he is in,
He needs to overcome it from within.



 If you are reading this please do suggest what the boy should do under these circumstances. Is his mind correct of his heart? What should he follow? He can't change the direction of the wind but can adjust his sails to reach his destination. What is the right path to be followed here?

    If its either lose your loved ones or choose a career, the boy should hear the heart and not the mind. You won't regret doing a few mistakes with your loved ones by the side. But you will definitely having no-one by the side when there's success.
