Time's Up

Staring at the ceiling, he laid on his bed,
All his memories now had started to fade,
Hospital was the last place he would ever visit,
But in the ICU he had booked himself a seat.
That day his friends had come to see him,
The set up at the hospital looked better than a sad film,
He thought “How can God be so cruel? I am just a teen.”
This thought started eating him up from within.
Soon the room flooded in with his friends,
He knew it was time to stop his pretend,
Seeing them, all the memories of them together flashed upon,
He knew he might not survive till the next dawn.
 He hugged everyone so tight,
Thinking that today he will have a good night,
This thought of having a good night sleep wasn’t even processed by the brain,
Suddenly, his heart rate started becoming slow,
His beautiful eyes started losing its glow,
He whispered “Guys… Please gather around.”
He asked everyone to listen without making a sound,
“Yes, you can lose someone overnight,
Yes, this can turn your whole life upside down,
But life is too short and there is no time to frown.”
Saying this he simply turned his head to the right,
He laid still and had lost his fight,
Last thing that was heard was a small puff,
In a blink of an eye, HIS TIME WAS UP.
